The State Government has concluded that since no paper leak incident has come to light in level-one of the REET exam. The date of the forthcoming exam will be announced soon, with the report of the committee constituted under the chairmanship of Former High Court Judge Justice VK Vyas for the transparency of the competitive exams coming on March 15.

The cabinet decided to increase the number of posts from 20,000 to 30,000 to be recruited through the REET exam-2022 to fill the vacant posts in the school. Adding 16,500 posts of level-II of REET-2021, it is now proposed to hold REET-2022 for a total of 46,500 posts in July this year. With this, REET-2021 level-II candidates and students who are presently studying BSTC and B.Ed will also get an opportunity to appear in the exam. The result of students who are doing BSTC is expected in June.
The cabinet expressed concern that some people want to mislead the candidates by making unrestrained statements. Such people do not want vacant posts to be filled. The youth should be aware of such elements.
