Jaipur, February 25.Shri T Ravikanth, Principal Secretary, Industries & Commerce, Government of Rajasthan and Smt. Archana Singh, Managing Director RIICO met senior officials of Government of India in Delhi on friday to seek the Central Government's support for two flagship projects of Rajasthan.
Regarding MITRA (Mega Integrated Textile Region and Apparel Park) Scheme of Ministry of Textiles, Govt of India; they met Shri Vijoy Kumar Singh, Addl. Secretary and Smt Shubhra, Trade Advisor and had detailed deliberations on the proposed park at Kakani, Jodhpur. It may be noted that Government of Rajasthan has submitted a Concept Note to Govt. Of India for a MITRA Park at Jodhpur and will be formally submitting a Project Proposal shortly. Govt of India officers were highly appreciative of Rajasthan's proposal and assured all possible support to Rajasthan's formal proposal.
Later in the day, the PSI, Rajasthan and MD RIICO also met Secretary, Department of Chemicals and Petrochemicals, Govt of India whereby who assured Govt of India's keen support to the proposed Petroleum, Chemicals and Petrochemicals Investment Region (PCPIR) at Pachpadra, Barmer. The PCPIR proposal of Rajasthan is now at the last stage of due diligence by Central Government and is likely to be notified shortly, the Rajasthan team was assured.
