Jaipur, March 7. Chief Minister Shri Ashok Gehlot said that the State Government has made announcements in the budget for the welfare of all sections of the society. A separate agriculture budget was presented for the first time looking at the importance of the agriculture and animal husbandry sector in the state’s economy. The Government has taken an unprecedented step by increasing the subsidy to Rs 5 per litre from Rs 2 per litre under Mukhyamantri Dugdh Utpadak Sambal Yojana to strengthen the dairy industry. “It is our endeavour that prosperity comes to cattle rearers through this scheme and Rajasthan becomes a leader in the area of milk production,” he added.
Shri Gehlot was addressing a large number of delegations of milk producers who had come to express gratitude for the budget announcements at the Chief Minister’s residence on Monday evening. Delegations from various sections of the society, communities and institutions too felicitated Shri Gehlot for the budget.
The Chief Minister said, “During my previous tenure also I had given a subsidy of Rs 2 per litre to the cattle rearers, but it was closed during the last government. This time, after our government came to power, it was implemented again.”
Shri Gehlot said that many announcements have been made in this budget such as implementing the old pension scheme for the employees appointed after January 2004, increasing the free insurance coverage to Rs 10 Lac from Rs 5 lac under Mukhyamantri Chiranjeevi Swasthya Bima Yojana, Free treatment in OPD and IPD in all government hospitals, starting employment guarantee scheme in urban areas and giving electricity to farmers in all the districts during daytime. It is the responsibility of all of us to carry these announcements to people in the State and ensure that they are benefitted, he added.
Ajmer Dairy Chairman Shri Ramchandra Choudhary said the Chief Minister’s announcement to increase the subsidy on milk has provided a lot of relief to the cattle rearers in the State. With this, increase in milk collection at Saras Dairy will be beyond expectation compared to the private dairies and dairies outside the State. Lakhs of cattle rearers will be benefitted from this.
Delegation of various institutions including Dairy Associations, Rajasthan Nurses Association Ekikrat, Pashu Chikitsak evum Karamchari Sangh, Vishvakarma Transport Union, Bagaria Samaj, Ghumantu Jaati Uthan Samiti Merta, Roadways Sevanivrat Karamchari Kalyan Samiti, Vipra Kalyan Board, Maharana Pratap Krishi Vishvavidyalaya Udaipur, Pink City Phal Sabji Vyapar Samiti, Jaitaran Vidhan Sabha Kshetra and Justice For Chhabra Sangathan expressed gratitude to Chief Minister for the budget announcements.
